Your health and liability

Before embarking on a  physical activity or exercise programme, you should seek permission and advice from a medical professional.

Refined Running Ltd. is not responsible for any injuries that may be caused as a consequence of beginning the structured running technique program or any of the strength, mobility, Dynamic Movement Skill movements elements that are a part of it. This includes following the drills, exercises which form part of the ‘homework’ elements of the programme where clients operate on their own. Refined Running Ltd does not offer medical advice or diagnosis any such activity must be performed by a qualified professional in a clinical setting.

Any advice or explanation of drills, techniques or activities associated with running  is published to assist clients in improvement and Refined Running Ltd highly recommends that users use common sense when undertaking/trying advice given. Every individual has different needs, levels of strength and fitness and not all advice or descriptions will be relevant for all individuals.It is suggested that exercises are approached with caution and utilise sensible progression as improvement develops.

If any client has a particular medical condition and is concerned how participating in one of Refined Running Ltd Programmes may affect this, please do consult a medical professional to ask questions.

If you do feel light headed, nauseous any pain or discomfort stop exercising immediately and seek medical advice, ensuring you do not disregard recommendations and only restart when permission has been granted.

Reliance on any information provided by Refined Running Ltd is solely at your own risk.

In no event will Refined Running Ltd be liable to any party for any direct, indirect, and incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages of any type whatsoever related to or arising from sessions or use of this website. Along with any site or resource linked to, referenced, or accessed through this website, or for the use of downloading of, or access to, any information, products or services.

Waiver of Liability

By participating in any and all activities Refined Running Ltd offers I indicate that I have read and understand this waiver of liability and terms of use. I am aware that this is a waiver and a release of liability and I voluntarily agree to these terms.

As the participant I, on behalf of myself, recognise, acknowledge that there are risks of physical injury and I, on behalf of myself, agree to assume full risk of any injuries (including death), damages or loss which I, on behalf of myself, may sustain as a result of participating in any and all activities arising out of , connected with or in any way associated  with my use of Refined Running Ltd. I, on behalf of myself, acknowledge that participation and use of Refined Running Ltd activities is voluntary.

I, on behalf of myself, do hereby fully release and discharge Refined Running Ltd and those facilities being used in this program from any and all liability, claims and causes of action from injuries or illness (including Death), damages or loss which I, on behalf of myself may have or which may accrue to me on account of participation in all activities involving the facility. This is a complete and irrevocable release and waiver of liability. Specifically and without limitation, I, on behalf of myself , hereby release the released parties from any liability, claim, or cause of action arising out of the released  parties negligence. I on behalf of myself, covenant not to sue the released parties for any alleged liabilities, claims or causes of action released hereunder.

In the event of any emergency or injury, I, on behalf of myself, authorise the released parties to secure from any licensed hospital, physician, and or medical personnel any treatment deemed necessary and agree that I, on behalf of myself, will be responsible for payment of any and all  medical services rendered.

I hereby acknowledge my responsibility in communicating and physical or psychological concerns that might conflict with participation in activity. I acknowledge that I am physically fit and mentally capable of performing the physical activity I select.

After having read this waiver and knowing all the facts which have been outlined, and in consideration and acceptance of my participation and Refined Running Ltd providing coaching service to me , I agree, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf to HOLD HARMLESS, WAIVE AND RELEASE Refined Running Ltd its owner from any responsibility, liabilities, demands, or claims of any kinds arising out of my participation in Redefined Running exercises and/or programs. 

Terms and conditions of fulfilling appointments

  1. All cancellations must be made by phone (you may leave a message on the voicemail) at least 24 hours prior to your appointment time) Or by email 48 hours before your appointment time. Failure to do this will result in you being charged in full for the appointment.
  2. All payments need to be made upfront. You are responsible for full payment of the sessions booked, any shortfall in payment will be charged to your credit card account. Notification will always be given before any payments are processed.
  3. Refined Running’s 6 sessions blocks are subject to a 10 week expiry. In effect I provide 10 weeks from the first session to complete your sessions.

  The 12 week session blocks are subject to a 16 week expiry from the first     session

  1. Sessions are not transferable to any other person.

How does Refined Running Ltd work

I have successfully trained as a Certified Running Technique Specialist under the tutorship of Mike Antoniades, founder and director of The Running and Movement School.

Using a coaching methodology devised by The Running and Movement School which utilises accelerated learning using auditory, visual and kinesthetic learning cues. I will work with a ratio of 1:1, 1:2 or 1:3 people, as experience and scientific research has shown that individuals learn quicker and better when practising in a group environment , practice and then observe a movement pattern and interact with other athletes.

I will always attentively observe and correct any movement patterns on an individual basis and discuss home exercise programmes and individual technique. Refined Running uses a work to rest ratio of 1:3 so you will always get a similar ‘coaching to rest period’ if you are working on your own or in a group of two athletes.

  1. If you have been injured and you have to delay your sessions for a period time please do inform Refined Running Ltd
  2. Refund policy – All of the preparation and individual programme development video analysis and are prepared upfront after your Biomechanical Analysis. Therefore refunds or credits will be issued as follows:
  3. 6 block sessions

i) Notification after BMA session 50% Refund

          ii) Notification after 2 sessions  (BMA + 1 technique session) 25% Refund. 

          iii) No refunds after 2 sessions  (BMA + 2 technique sessions).

  1. 12 block sessions

          i) Notification after 3 sessions (BMA + 2 technique sessions) – 50% Refund

         ii) Notification after 6 sessions (BMA + 3 technique sessions) – 25% Refund

       iii) No refunds after 6 sessions   (BMA + 5 technique sessions)

Terms and conditions of coaching

  1. Your initial appointment will involve a detailed Biomechanical Assessment. Please ensure you are appropriately attired to run on the treadmill. This session will use video analysis. The clips are available at your request.
  2. You will be asked detailed questions regarding your injury, health and sporting stories. It is important to answer these to the best of your ability so as to gain the most from your programme.
  3. Coaching will be based on the findings of the Biomechanical Analysis and your objectives and targets. It will involve treadmill running/walking, strength exercises and sessions may also involve non – treadmill running/walking.
  4. Please arrive promptly for appointments, allowing time to warm up therefore getting the maximum time allocated for your session. Refined Running will try to accommodate late comers arriving within 15 minutes of their appointment time, but this may not always be possible.

   By reading this you agree with the terms detailed and consent to Certified Running Technique Specialist coaching as  appropriate.
